17th Francophonie summit kicks off in Armenia

The 17th Francophonie Summit has kicked off today in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Armenia is hosting the international summit of the French-speaking world, despite only having around 10,000 French speakers among its population of three million.

The two-day meeting has attracted many world leaders, including the French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
